HAY’s Tapis rug, designed by Julie Richoz, has a raw, natural texture that results from a tactile blend of jute and cotton. Seen from a distance, Tapis looks two-toned and even, but a closer look reveals a surprising detail: the red color is actually made up of a combination of red and yellow yarn, which together create the slightly asymmetrical stripes on the carpet. The rug has a non-slip backing for added functionality.
