The sculptural, seemingly simple look of the Epic coffee table comprises two geometric elements: a hexagon and a circle. The table’s modern, minimalist tone carries a subtle reference to the iconic columns of Ancient Greece. Epic by GUBI is a collection of distinctive tables crafted in either beautiful travertine stone or simple steel, designed by the Danish-Italian design duo GamFratesi: Stine Gam and Enrico Fratesi. The designers drew inspiration to the series from the historical travertine constructions such as the Roman Colosseum. The grand Epic tables also lend their name from epic poems. The fascinating, individual personality of each stone makes every table unique, continuously adding new chapters to the table’s story with patina.
